Interior Plant Specialist — Horticultural Maintenance

Purpose Statement

We shape environments that influence behavior, focus energy, and create lasting impact.

Why This Role Matters

This role is part of our Interior Living Systems team.

You are responsible for how environments show up—every single day.

Interior environments are living systems. Without consistent care and attention, they decline—visibly and experientially.

This role sits at the center of that responsibility.

As a Horticultural Maintenance Specialist, you are responsible for how these environments perform day to day. Your work ensures plants remain healthy, spaces feel intentional, and the environments we create continue to function as designed.

This is not passive work. It requires judgment, consistency, and attention to detail.

The work may happen quietly, but its impact is immediate. Every detail signals something—to the people who move through these spaces every day.

Compensation & Schedule

·       Starting at $25 per hour, with higher rates for proven experience

·       Part-time and full-time positions available

·       Paid Time Off

Full-Time Benefits:

·       401K with employee match

·       Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

Experienced technicians are encouraged to apply. We are open to structuring compensation based on demonstrated ability and consistency.

Core Responsibility

Steward Plant Health

You are responsible for the ongoing health and performance of all plants within your care. This includes observation, watering, pruning, cleaning, and making informed decisions about intervention or replacement.

Own the Route

You manage your service route with consistency and accountability. Each visit reflects a standard—not just a task list. You organize your day, anticipate needs, and ensure every environment is left better than you found it.

See and Communicate

You notice what others miss. You communicate clearly with both clients and the Interior Operations Lead—flagging issues, making recommendations, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Represent the Standard

You carry the Hoffman Design Group standard into every space. How you move, work, and leave a site reflects the level of care we stand for.
