Part I: Summary Description

The Exterior Landscape Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for executing and observing maintenance conditions and coordinating the needs of accounts with individual technicians and operations department, as needed. They are responsible for providing ongoing training and feedback to technicians to ensure high quality of maintenance services.

Part II: Essential Duties

General

  • Execute job site and/or product inspections and resolve any problems quickly, providing feedback to team members as needed - Warehouse plants/truck arrival/product inspection

  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients

  • Participate training new team members in accordance with HDG purpose, values, and vision

  • Motivate, coach, and mentor team members, help create and hold accountable to achieving goals, monitor morale

  • Promote high standards for customer service

  • Enforce company policies and procedures

  • Take a proactive role in helping formulate future visions and goals for the organizationOther duties as assigned

Exterior Operations

  • Develop and maintain seasonal and monthly schedules based on number of client site visits needed, weather changes, and timing of seasonal installations

  • Coordinate with other team members needs for assistance/additional help in accordance with the ebbs and flows of the seasonal needs of exteriors maintenance

  • Maintaining and updating the exterior maintenance route sheets with new clients, location of water sources, parking location, and time needed for visits

  • Proactively scheduling out the needs for account maintenance as the seasons shift

  • Execute the day-to-day operations of the exterior landscape maintenance services department effectively and efficiently and completed within the appropriate framework

  • Assist in or order materials needed for maintaining high quality installations and/or seasonal plant needs as needed

  • Coordinate and execute special services including pesticide applications and pruning, participating in those installations as necessary for exterior landscape services

  • Plan purchasing and scheduling of repetitive exterior supplies as needed

  • Pull, prep, clean, and stage materials and supplies for the next day’s work

  • Provide suggestions and feedback to improve operations flow

  • Facilitate quarterly training sessions with all exterior installation technicians

Facility

  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and putting away all incoming shipments of exterior landscape service materials

  • Organize and maintain upkeep of warehouse including storage of plants, containers, supplies, and tools

  • Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness

Part III: Qualifications

  • Must be motivated and knowledgeable of horticulture industry materials and have an appropriate business demeanor to meet clients and assess their needs

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, prepare schedules, estimates

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Ability to make sound business and financial decisions

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • May need to be available to work some nights and weekends

  • Must be a hands-on worker

Part IV: Education and Experience

  • Higher education in business or operations field preferred

  • Minimum high school diploma or the equivalent

  • Landscape operations experience, minimum 5 years preferred

Part V: Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have valid Driver’s License and be in possession of it at all times

  • Personal vehicle must be fully insured

Part VI: Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: $18-$24 per hour based on experience
